Not everyone’s partner or family plays golf ,so if you are concerned about what else there is to do we would suggest the following;
We are the nearest hotel to kielder water, england’s largest manmade lake,with its numerous attractions- the forest,birds of prey centre, ferry, sailing, canoeing, nature walks and trails, bike riding etc. Newcastle and the metro centre ( englands largest shopping mall) alnwick castle & gardens and northumberlands dramatic coastline or a beautiful country drive over the moors. Hadrian’s wall. The pennine way passes the hotel and the next stage south is the wall. Housesteads, vindolanda etc are only a 15 minute drive.
There is no real need to leave Bellingham with our pool and sauna, fishing river and national park walks from the hotel. There is also the heritage centre in the town.
Opposite the hotel is Bellingham- 1893.which has earned praise for its variation and undulating design. Overlooking the picturesque village of Bellingham it offers stunning vistas of the valley as well as challenging golf. Venue for county matches.
